It is the hirer ’ s responsibility to read the FULL TERMS & CONDITIONS thoroughly. Confirming a booking stipulates you accept our TERMS OF USE & COVID-19 Policy without exception.
Picnic & Proposals is a picnic prop hire business only and does not commercially operate at and/or from any specific park/reserve/beach etc. Our picnic props are hired out to you 'the hirer', and it is up to the hirer as to where they would like to set up their picnic.
Please note, some parks/reserves have certain restrictions i.e do not allow structures/tents/marquees etc. Picnic & Proposals does not accept any responsibility for breaches of any local/state/commonwealth legislation/regulations.
Ordering, Acceptance, and Payment: The hirer must pay 50% of balance as a non-refundable deposit to authorise Picnic & Proposals to proceed and book in the order. This deposit is deemed confirmation of an order. Full payment of the order must be paid to Picnic & Proposals at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the event date.
Suppliers, Operators & Licensee: Picnic & Proposals may act as an ‘agent’ between yourself and suppliers/service providers. Picnic & Proposals does not take responsibility for conduct between yourself and the supplier.
Credit Card Transactions: If the service is purchased with a credit card, purchaser agrees to make payment in full when billed or in extended payments in accordance with the standard policy of the issuer of the credit card.
All rates are inclusive of GST.
Cancellations: Cancellation charges will apply when cancellations are made:
Deposits: Non-refundable
Remainder of balance:
Less than 7 business working days prior to event – 100% of full fare
Covid-19 Cancellations: If the date of your event is impacted by covid-19 restrictions, we offer rescheduling of your date at no extra charge.
If a cancellation is requested, we are offering refunds for payments made on the balance of your event if covid-19 restrictions are still enforced on the week of your event. However if a refund is requested for the non-refundable deposit, we may return 50% of the deposit, with the remainder covering our admin fees.
Refunds: Refunds are at the sole discretion of Picnic & Proposals. Refunds are not available for services provided but not utilised by the customers. Please choose carefully. We do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or a wrong decision. Refunds are not available for confirmed service’s that have been postponed for any reason including weather or confirmed service’s that have been put on hold for any reason. Refunds are not available to customers that choose not to participate on the day of their confirmed booking for any reason whatsoever.
Reschedules: Rescheduled events that have been paid in full are to be redeemed within 12 months of your original date. Package prices may be subject to change and can incur a price difference.
PayPal Refunds: Effective as of 11 October 2019, PayPal has updated their User Agreement Refund Policy. In line with industry practice, fees from the original transaction will not be returned. As a result, Picnic & Proposals will not be liable and/or refund any transaction fees paid for any payment (including deposit) made to Picnic & Proposals, if/when a refund is processed by us. Weather: In the interest of your event going ahead as planned, we recommend having a back up location (preferably indoors) where we can continue the event as planned. We cannot refund payment due to wet weather cancellation. Otherwise, we will happily reschedule your event to another suitable date.
Dietary Requirements: Any special dietary requirements must be made clear for us to provide the customer with desired preferences.
Photograph Output : Picnic & Proposals will only provide photographs obtained by the Picnic & Proposals photographer in a digital format only. Turn around time to receive photographs is around 7-21 days. Turn around time for external photographer may have differ.
Food & Beverage: Picnic & Proposals provides food & wine gourmet hampers as an optional upgrade. We reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone under the age of 18 years.
Disabilities or special requirements: Any physical, mental or emotional disability, or special needs that may require special handling, must notify Picnic & Proposals prior to the event.
Damage & Loss: The customer shall be responsible for any loss or damage to any of the hire items arising from the time the customer arrives to their styled area at the agreed time until the agreed departure time. The customer agrees to pay full replacement costs for any equipment lost, stolen or considered by Picnic & Proposals and/or their licensees as being irreparably damaged. Such payment may be taken out of the bond or can be made by the hirer within seven (7) calendar days of such loss or damage coming to the attention of Picnic & Proposals.
Picnic & Proposals does not take responsibility for any loss, stolen or damaged items by the hirer or guests.
Bond: All Picnic bookings incur a $100 bond for groups of up to four (4) persons, $200 to 10 persons, $300 to 20-30 persons, $400 to 40 persons and $500 to 50 persons. Proposals bookings for couples is up to $200.
Bond will be refunded post hire ensuring there are no damages or a requirement of undue cleaning.
The Hirer Agrees: To be responsible for all loss or damage caused to any person or property in relation to the hired equipment or the use there of. The hirer shall be liable to effect public risk insurance in relation to the equipment for the duration of the period of hire.
Copyright: The hirer acknowledges that copyright in all designs, drawings, proposals, concepts and other material produced by Picnic & Proposals remains the property of Picnic & Proposals. The hirer must not infringe copyright in respect of that material.
